The International Jazz Festival will celebrate its eighth edition in the historic center of Vejer on June 20, 21 and 22. One of the most unique music festivals in Spain will offer its attendees a magical experience in which history, landscape, gastronomy and other pleasures for the senses.
In this edition of Jazz Vejer, the stages of the Teatro San Francisco and the Muralla de la Segur will host, among other artists, Yamandu Costa, considered by many to be the best guitarist in the world; great names of contemporary jazz such as Ethan Iverson (founder of The Bad Plus), Jorge Rossy and Masa Kamaguchi; the impressive voice of soul diva Marta High, who accompanied James Brown for more than 30 years; the Cuban festival of Telmary & HabanaSana; the talent and fusion of Alana Sinkëy; the new proposals by Anna Colom and Moreira or the experience and trajectory of Elkano Browning Cream.
In addition, on June 22 the Paco de Lucía Foundation will be presented, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the artist's death. An initiative that arises from Jazz Vejer's concern to contribute to disseminating cultural heritage and raising awareness about the need to protect the legacy of artists.
