Vejer whale and dolphin watching

The Straights of Gibraltar are one of the best places in the world for whale and dolphin watching. The 13 mile corridor between North Africa and the Spanish coast (where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic) is a bottleneck for these large sea mammals or ‘cetaceans.’

Head down the beautiful hill and beach road to Tarifa, where you will find the whale watching boats. Keep your eyes peeled for Pilot, Sperm and Minke whales or dolphin and Orca hunting tuna. The best sightings are from April to October, although there are excursions all year round.
