01
Corredera 55

This chic village restaurant offers elegant, Andalusian-inspired gastronomy with a modern, international flair… and its vegetarian-friendly. Dine alfresco on the terrace facing impossible-to-match views, or inside, in the cosiest of dining rooms. Be sure to try the mushroom pot, croquetas of goat's cheese with harissa jam, or Oloroso marinated pork cheeks with apricots.

02
Elmuro

According to the Michelin Guide: "A unique restaurant that takes its name from the nearby walls of Vejer. Having spent time working in leading restaurants elsewhere, local chef Paco Doncel has returned to his roots to embark on his own project in this regionally inspired and casual setting. His cooking centres on contemporary cuisine influenced by local dishes.

04
El Central

A modern restaurant with spectacular ambiance. Outside the tables sit on cobbled steps that are pure Vejer. Try the Tostas con Anchoas y Boquerones (toast wrapped in fresh anchovies), I promise it works. Or, if you are vegetarian, try the Alcachofas a la Parrilla (grilled artichokes with garlic dressing on a bed of mash). You will not be disappointed.

05
Singular Coffee

After your meal, if you are in the mood for something a little indulgent, head down to Singular Coffee on the Corridera. Grab a seat on their terrace, looking out over stunning views and enjoy the best coffees (19 types) and cakes in Vejer (we highly recommend the banoffee pie). They also offer a forty items on the breakfast menu (truffles and pastrami on toast is not to be missed).

06
FEZ

With its Moroccan/Lebanese street food menu, FEZ serves the best breakfast/brunch in town. The interior décor is bright and nostalgic, but we’d recommend you wait for a table on the street and soak up the Vejer buzz. Try the Beirut Breakfast; or for veggies, the FEZ Breakfast. Order extra Moroccan bread—you’ll regret it if you don’t.

07
El Quijote

The restaurant only reopened in 2021. With a clean, modern vibe, its balcony has great views across Vejer to the church of el Divino Salvador. El Qujote specialises in beautifully presented modern Spanish cuisine often accompanied by live flamenco music, and of course, a lovely glass of wine or two.

08
Califa Express

Facing Vejer’s palm-filled Plaza de España, Califa Express is a fantastic place to sit and eat and people watch. The relaxed deli and food bar offers both eat-in or take away options for its freshly prepared and locally sourced Moroccan & Middle Eastern dishes. It has one of the best vegetarian selections in Vejer. We'd recommend the halloumi, roasted peppers and olives wrap.

09
Mercado San Francisco

A food market during the day, San Francisco transforms into a tapas hall at night and at the weekends. There’s no better way to spend a lazy Sunday than choosing from the wide selection of food (local delicacies to sushi), sipping a local wine or beer on a communcal table on the sunny patio. You will always be made to feel welcome.
10
La Vinográfica

A sophisticated restaurant with a great food. Sit inside in the warm comfort of a restaurant lined with books and an amazing selection of wines. Or, when the weather is good (which is almost always) grab an outside table on one of Vejer's most picturesque and bustling streets and soak up the atmosphere. Their wine tastings are not to be missed. The photograph show Gail, owner of Vejer Casas, enjoying one such night.
