Vejer surfing

Head down to El Palmar de Vejer or Zahora to catch a few waves. With more surf shops than Mawai, you are spoilt for choice in the range of equipment hire, or places to book a lesson or two and become a surfer.

Surfing happens all day and all year long dependent on the weather. But if it’s too windy or choppy, head to one of the many restaurants and bars on the beachfront, or simply laze in the sun, read a book and come back to the surf in a little while.
If you have children, maybe you can check out some of the schools that have specific lessons for the under 15s.
